When you're talking about real
estate, Location, Location, Location is the key. When you're
talking about cars: wash it, wash it, wash it. This will keep
your car looking new.
If you wash
your own car, rinse it thoroughly before touching the surface.
Wash with a soft clean wash mitt. Any dirt between the paint
and your mitt will scratch the finish.
Don't wipe a dirty or dusty car with a dry
rag, and don't wash the car with a stiff bristle brush, this
will scratch the surface and eventually cause your finish to
look dull. Hand washing is best. Brushless car washes are good
too. If you must traditional car washes with brushes are
preferable to not washing.
Wipe off all water spots with a soft cloth
or chamois after washing your car.
Wax your car at least 3 times per year.
This will protect your car's finish and it will look great!
Don't not park under trees. Tree sap
and, of course, bird droppings are corrosive to a car's
finish.
Avoid gravel roads whenever possible. Also
be careful about following other cars or trucks too closely.
It's not only a safety hazard, but small stones could chip
your paint or your windshield.
Always wipe off spills of antifreeze, washer
fluid or gasoline.
